The combination of chemical hardening with the SentryGlas(R) ionoplast interlayer has opened up new frontiers in the construction of nautical glass and brought considerable economic benefits and improvements in quality such as transparency and delamination. The technological innovation adopted by Viraver has enabled the company to construct glass with special interlayers that cut down infrared radiation by 40%-50% and thereby avoid problems of overheating of interior zones. The most unique aspect of this invention is the fact that the films are capable of covering very large surfaces, up to 2000 x 3000 mm. The technique is suitable for both flat and curved laminated glass.
